What's the Difference between Balinese & Far East Products?
Balinese products have been selected specifically by Balitohome, which are using all natural woods, and designed by true Artisans living in Ubud, Bali, and surrounding areas. These can be shipped only to the US & Caribbean at this time, but we are hoping to expand on this in the near future.
Far-East products have been selected specifically by Bali to Home, which resonates with our notion that products should be practical, yet inspiring and natural. These can be shipped to the U.S. only using traditional shipping methods.
Why are Balinese products more expensive than Far-East products?
In most cases, Balinese items are hand-crafted, utilising natural materials. Each piece is produced individually, and thus, takes more time to produce the item that you would like. Further, as Indonesia is not a centralised shipping hub (yet), shipping costs can affect price. As Balitohome continues to work with international shipping partners, we hope to see prices improve, and we will pass these savings on to you.
Where do we deliver?
Far East Items - Far East items can be shipped the United States only.
Bali Decor - Decor items can only be shipped to the United States at this time. All products within this portfolio include shipping costs.
However, we are working hard to include other countries, and will keep our customers posted when this happens.
Bali Decor (Made-to-Order)
Bali Decor Made-to-Order items can only be shipped to the United States at this time. These items do NOT include shipping costs, hence, extra fees will apply.
Bali Custom Furniture & Decor - Minimum purchase $2,500
Balinese furniture and decor can be custom made to your specifications. This can be an item you see on our web-site, or on another page (ie. Pinterest). As these will be heavy items, it will need to be shipped via ocean freight, hence, there is a minimum spend. These items can be shipped internationally, and we will work with you on a 1:1 basis through the whole order and shipment process.
How does the order and shipping process work?
Far East Items - United States
- You pick the item and purchase via credit card/Paypal
- We ship the item to your home as per the shipping guidelines
Bali Decor
These products will be shipped from Indonesia to your home in the US. For Caribbean orders, additional shipping costs will be incurred by the customer.
Custom duties etc., will be the responsibility of the customer; however, we do try to ensure that all products will be packed according to US guidelines.
Bali Custom Furnitures & Decor - International
- You pick the item and purchase
- We work with our suppliers in Bali to produce your item using local artisan craftsman
- We continuously monitor and communicate with the supplier in Bali to keep you informed
- The Item is produced, pre-packed and shipped to your destination.
How can I order for Custom furniture?

We will then get in direct contact with you to go through those pieces that you would like and take you through the journey - from space design (in your home), to ordering the product to shipping the product directly to you.
